Spartanburg Water Conservation Tips

Watershed Stewardship Opportunities

Spartanburg Water presents topics on watersheds, water conservation, water quality and how to avoid watershed pollution to school and community groups. If requested, a Spartanburg Water representative can bring the Enviroscape watershed model to show how watersheds function and how pollution can be distributed within one.

Spartanburg Water, in conjunction with Clemson Cooperative Extension Service, offers the Pontoon Classroom. The Pontoon Classroom includes a guided lake tour and teaches students about the history and use of Lake Bowen, water safety, water conservation and watershed issues. Other activities involve teaching students how to take water samples and how to test for water quality.

Outreach Organizations

Spartanburg Water is proud to partner with a number of outreach organizations including Hatcher Gardens, the Spartanburg Science Center and the Watershed Ecology Center.
